Hi Family!

I just graduated from Regis University in May and left a few days later for a sweet trip to Thailand and Vietnam. We taught English to 4-14 years olds in a small village just north of Chiangmai, Thailand for two weeks, ate a lot of sick (and I'm convinced some were not edible) foods, played with kids, overcame a language barrier with lots of love, and rode elephants.
Then, we headed to Vietnam--my favorite part of the trip. It was quite the experience to be in a communist nation! I really enjoyed spending two weeks with the college and adult students that we taught there. I loved the privilege of sharing life with each of them and I would love to go back for another visit someday. Anyone want to join me?
There are two things that I learned on this trip that I'll share with you: 1. There are a lot of Asians in Asia. :-) Okay, here is the serious one: 2. The one thing that I have found that crosses all cultural, language, and land barriers is this: love.
"And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us." 1John 3:23
